Portugal Outdoor Leadership March 23

Last day of the week we stayed at

Cacais a city west of Lisbon.

Goal:

Reflections in the new groups, risk-taking,

summary of the week.  City Park as a stage.

 What we did:

 Grouping  so that we are working with similar age groups

 came together. Very rewarding  reflections in these groups.

Theater

Every day was played by the various groups.

Totally crazy and fun.

Risk taking

Tove illustrated with good examples thoughts

on how we can reason about risk taking.

We should collectively think about cycling,

canoeing and cooking over an open fire.

Summary of the week

Dusan did with our help, a good summary of the past week.

Tove's poem and course certificates were given to us.

Even now, as every morning Tove read a poem for us.

Margrit then shared out course certificates to all of us

and Dusan played and everyone sang.

Learned today:

City Park in Cacais works well as classroom.

Risk-taking how we prepare an outdoor activity

This week has given me so much from so

many great teachers from across Europe.

In some days comes one more text about the course.

Universitetsadjunkter utvecklar Mattelabbet/ Lecturers develops Math Lab

Mål/ Goal : Skalbegerpp/ scaling term

I går utvecklade universitetsadjunkter från

Linnè universitetet tankar kring Mattelabbet.

Yesterday, developed lecturers from

Linnaeus University thoughts on Math Lab.

Utförande/ How we dit it:

Det tjocka röda repet lades ut till en kvadrat på 10 x 10 meter.

The thick red rope was placed into a square of 10 x 10 meters.

Därefter byggdes utanför den stora rutan 1 m2 med 1 pinnar.

I denna kvadrat placerades en ”guldskatt”

Vi pratade nu om skala 1:10.

Then they built outside the big square a 1 m2  square with pins.

In this square was placed a "gold treasure"

We are talking now about 1:10 scale

Därefter uppskattade lärarna var i den stora rutan

”guldskatten” skulle placeras.

Then estimated the teachers were in the big square 

"gold treasure" would be placed.





En 1 meters pinne graderad i dm fick sedan användas

för att kontrollera om ”guldskatten” hämnat rätt.

A 1-meter stick graduated in dm was then used

to check the "gold treasure"  avenged right.



Kan ”guldskatten” preciseras bättre med kvadrater

märkta a,b, c, och så vidare och med kvadrater märkta

1, 2, 3 och så vidare i kombination med plankor 5 m

långa och upp märkta varje meter.

Resultat/ Results :

Övningen leder vidare kring tankar för koordinater,

kartblad och ekvationer och visar på Movium Mattelabbs

flexibilitet med enkelt och billigt material.

The exercise leads around the thoughts of coordinates,

map sheets and equations and shows Movium Math Labbs 

flexibility with simple and inexpensive materials.

9 nya Mattelabb byggs upp i Malmö nu i vår.

9 new Math Lab builds up in south Sweden in the town

of Malmö near Copenhagen this spring.

Every morning before "Melona" we had a time for some

sun in the enclosed courtyard at the hotel.

Goal:

of ways to behave as a leader in different situations.

Europe's western most point of land was the beginning

of an afternoon of reflection character.  

 

We walked back towards Muchaxo hotel

and had time to reflect, debate over the past week.

Portuguese delicacies

Served in the garden before we went down to Cacais.

The hotel owner welcomed us back to Muchaxo

and we got was her bottle Guincho sand.

Goal:

School visits, group practice in La Pena

What made​​:

School visits

Split into groups, we visited the Nature school only one

in Portugal in La Pena forest and school in Sintra.

In the Nature School, we helped to mend fences.

Visitors always helps out with various jobs so that

Nature School can live on. Fire danger is high in

Portugal therefore helps visitors often by picking sticks.

The school visit learned us why in south Europe here

is so little green on the school yards, water shortages

and therefore such a lot of concrete.

We were greeted by a warmth from the teachers and students.

Interested high school students talked about their plans

and were good, happy to speak English.

But still there was a schoolgarden with vetgetables.

Met math teacher, who was interested in Movium Math Lab

as well as teachers from the Comenius course. I will  send

both of them them all a folder on Matt lab printed in English.

For those with their asphalt surfaces, the Math Lab can be

useful for them, both in the playground and in the city.

Group exercises

Brittas beaver song in the forest La Pena, resulting in truly

amazing group exercises. We got 1 m rope and would do

anything that had to do with beavers.

The beavers managed to fell a tree "Kalle".

What a sight to see Kalle take action.

 Lookout point

 By forest like a church in La Pena, we walked to an old ruin with

 wind strange sight against Muchaxo our hotel and Guincho beach.

 Britta, as usual actor served "champagne" to all of us up there.

Elevators talk

went on from the previous day. Resulted in even more important networking.

Learned today:

Schoolyards understand why it is difficult to have more green

and why it is needed as much asphalt.

Networking the importance of constantly created space for this.
For us at the course to get too know each other better to help
the schools of Europe to develope.

I will be back another day with more abour the course.
